Head Women's Basketball Coach

Justin LeBlanc was named as the Head Women’s Basketball coach at Millsaps in 2016. In his first season at the helm, LeBlanc led the Majors to a 17-10 record, with his team finishing at 9-5 in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). The Majors finished second in the conference standings, and advanced to the SAA Tournament semifinal.

In his third leading Millsaps in 2018-19, LeBlanc coached the Majors to one of the best seasons in school history with a record of 22-5 (12-2 SAA). He was named SAA Coach of the Year as Millsaps claimed the regular season conference title. LeBlanc also coached over two First Team All-SAA selections. 

The 2020-21 was played exclusively January-March of 2021, which saw the Majors post a 12-2 mark, earn the SAA regular season title and host the conference tournament. LeBlanc secured his second SAA Coach of the Year recognition in the process. He also coached the SAA Defensive Player of the Year in Dia Fortenberry and helped the Majors tally their highest D3Hoops.com ranking in program history at No. 6.

Coach LeBlanc recorded his 100th career victory in a 65-63 triumph over Austin College on Dec. 17, 2022 as part of a 19-8 record during the 2022-23 season.

Before arriving at Millsaps, LeBlanc spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Centenary College in Louisiana with the men’s program. He then took over for the 2015-16 season as the head coach of Centenary’s women’s program. During his one season as head coach for the Ladies, LeBlanc tied the 2002-03 squad for the most wins since the 1982-83 season with nine. He also led the team to their first postseason appearance in 20 seasons.

During his five seasons as an assistant with the men’s team, LeBlanc worked primarily with the guards and was the recruiting coordinator. He coached and recruited three straight conference Players of the Year, three straight conference Newcomers of the Year, four All-Americans, four all-region selections, 12 all-conference honors, and 12 SCAC Player of the Week recognitions.

Prior to Centenary, LeBlanc was assistant coach of the men’s basketball team for four years at Millsaps. During that time, the Majors produced an overall record of 67-43, captured a SCAC title in 2007-08, and advanced to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Division III National Tournament, with a final ranking of No. 6 in the nation by D3hoops.com. During his four years, he coached and assisted in the development of eight all-conference selections, two NABC All-South Region selections, a SCAC Tournament MVP, and an All-American selection.

A four-year letter winner as a player at Millsaps from 2002-06, LeBlanc led the Majors to four SCAC Tournament appearances. He graduated from Millsaps in 2006 with a degree in business administration and a minor in French. In 2011, he received his Master’s degree in sport administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. 

Justin resides in Jackson, Miss., with his two sons, Jackson and Jay.
